Bible Verse ABCs

A friend of mine is making a photo book with Bible verses using each letter of the alphabet for her toddler.  She asked if I had any suggestions for verses, and the "challenge" got stuck in my head and I couldn't quit until I'd come up with some.  Here's a quick list.  Does anyone have good ones to add?  I'm thinking of making a notebook of mine, and as my kids learn new memory verses, letting them make a page of their verse and putting it behind the appropriate letter's divider.  I think it would be neat to have a visual reminder of how many verses we've studied together.  Here's a starter list...add some in the comments and I'll add them to the list. :)  If you want the word document of these, let me know!

A-AS for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.  Joshua 24:15   OR Acts 22:16 ¹⁶ And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'

B-¹⁹ Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation!  Psalm 68:19    OR   ¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God;  Psalm 46:10

C-³⁰ Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.  Prov 31:30   OR ¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

L-You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.  Deut 6:5  (OR use the whole verse of Eccl 12:13 if not used for the letter F, b/c the full verse starts with “let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter”

M-speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,  Eph 5:19   OR John 3:3  Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

N- No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Cor 10:13    OR    But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord  Gen 6:8

O-There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
⁵ one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
⁶ one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

P-Pray without ceasing  I Thess 5:17

Q-rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. I Pet 3:4   OR 1 Thess 5:19 ¹⁹ Do not quench the Spirit.

R-Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!  Philippians 4:4

S-¹⁵ But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;  I Pet 3:7

T-Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.  1 Cor 15:58  OR ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!  2 Cor 9:15

U-How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!  Rom 11:33    And under His wings you shall take refuge  Psalm 91:4

V-visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world  James 1:27     ⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  1 Pet 5:8

W-But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Heb 11:6

X-For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse Rom 1:20 ; OR  Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.  Psalm 148:13

Y-¹¹ Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You!  Psalm 119:11  OR ¹⁰⁵ Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Z-who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
