In January we studied Dinosaurs. Specifically, we talked about when they were created (day 6), how they lived at the same time as man, and some specifics about various types. At the culmination of our unit, we visited a local dinosaur "park..." straight out of Jurassic Park! We were the only ones there and never once saw an employee, but the bathroom even looked like the one in the movie, so I stayed far away from it! Ha.
Our resources mostly came from Apologetics Press, and the kids loved reading
Dinosaurs Unleashed and various Discovery Magazines dealing with the topics.
We made salt dough fossils with some cheap plastic dinosaurs, as well as "wanted posters" for dinosaurs of their choosing.
